Thankful Thursdays: My city, my home, my job

Last year in November, I started Thankful Thursdays, where each week I posted about what in my life I was thankful for.  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I love the fact that it gives us all a reason to reflect on the blessings in our lives.  (I got the idea from the gorgeous Katie of the blog Katie's Pencil Box.  A year later and her blog is still my favorite!)

Today, I am thankful for Nuremberg, where Peter and I live.  I am thankful for our home, which is so cozy and comforting.   It's my place to be me and enjoy the small moments.  And, I am thankful for my job, which I love and has improved my life so much!

What are you thankful for today?  Join in on the gratitude and leave a comment or post a Thankful Thursday post on your own blog!

Hi Jamie! I hope you are doing well. I was wondering if you don't mind me asking why did you decide to move to Germany and what job do you have there?

I love this post and I'm a huge fan of Thanksgiving too! Enjoy your Friday x

Hi Anna! Thanks for your comment! I am doing great and am so happy it's Friday! I hope you are good, too!

Of course I don't mind your question. I go into the story a little more deeply in the "meet" section of my blog, but pretty much I met my boyfriend, Peter, 4 1/2 years ago in Spain and then decided to move to Germany after I graduated college (about a year and a half later) to see if it would work out between us. So far it has ;-) I teach English as a second language here, since I studied English in school. I work at a company/school and teach mostly adults.

After I graduated school, I was looking for a path to take that wouldn't leave me bored after a year and was lucky enough to have another reason (Peter) to try living abroad. I think it gave me the kick I needed to do something I always wanted to do.
